This is where your future begins!  Whether you are looking to complete your high school education (diploma or HiSET), wanting to brush off skills for college, or heading toward a career, this is the first step.  During this one-on-one meeting, we will discuss your academic history and current standing, any barriers to progress, and goals; short & long term. We will also give a clear picture of how our program works and what you can expect from us.

Career Readiness

This course will first guide you to examine your own strengths, skills and preferences to help you choose a career path.  Then you will learn more about your chosen career, set some short and long-term career goals and finally map a pathway to reach those goals.  We will also help you develop the skills and tools you will need to follow that pathway. This includes resume writing, interview skills, customer service and professionalism. This course will  help you practice and attain the skills you need to not only get and keep a job, but start a career with growth opportunities.

College Success is designed to help students feel comfortable with the experience of being a college student.  Through interactive exercises and assignments, the class will discuss a variety of topics including the transition to college life, goal setting, career planning, study skills, time management, campus resources, and information literacy.  The ultimate purpose of the course is to provide an opportunity for students to learn and adopt strategies to be successful in college and beyond.  This class cannot be taken for high school diploma credit.

Digital Literacy
